"The Humboldt does something that I’ve been looking for in a pedal for years:

The sustain, softness, and chirp of a great compressor. Combined with the muscle and punch of a clean boost - with total control over how I want to blend the two. It’s quickly transcended into “always on” status in my rig. Effects shimmer and swim more, single coil guitars sound warmer, and humbuckers have more sweet (but not harsh) top end. It just plain makes everything sound better."

"The Humboldt being named after a faithful and well-loved dog is perfect,

because it’s quickly become an ‘always by my side’ kind of pedal! I literally have it on 100% of the time. It just adds this sweet sustain, richness, and push that my strat was yearning for, and it interacts super well with my other guitars, amps and pedals. I find myself increasingly using it as a studio tool for both guitar and bass, too! I’ve spent a long time looking for a compressor that does what this thing does; it’s subtle, musical, and above all, inspiring! 10/10 would recommend, for real. "
